self made sushi level up / fine dining

Hey foodlovers !
If you have always loved sushi plus you’ve been keen to make you own sushi – and maybe tried a few times already ? – I want to show you in this very short food post how easy it is to make sushi you will just love because
1 – it looks like a master piece
2 – it’s so much fun making it
3 – you can be creative <3
4 – it’s made with so much effort and love !
I’m not saying or even claiming that I am a sushi chef or anything similar – no such thing at all on that professional level . Nevertheless it is not that hard to make a sushi that you yourself will enjoy to you fullest I think :)I have tried making sushi myself for several times now and someday it seemed to me , that it always looked and tasted . . . the same .

Sure was yummy ( maybe because I’ve starved myself with yet another 2-3 hours preperation time ? ) but it just simply always looked the same haha ~
So for the first time I wanted my sushi look a lot better because you also eat with your eye , don’t you ?I prepared the fillings of the sushi rolls in the following – spent a little bit more money than I would usually in higher quality products haha . . . don’t expect anything too fancy from a nearly broke student !

This is smoked salmon maki with a rucola leaf upgrade ~
in the center : wrapped salmon tartar with spring onion and rucola nigiri
After posting this I have this urge to repeat this dinner very very soon !
Sorry for not posting anything for the last weeks . . . but I’ll make sure to change it starting now :)
Semester has started and once again I’ll start posting some more about my architecture studies , the projects , some more OOTDs ( even when it’s getting colder . . . ) and maybe some more reviews ? Let’s see ~
lots ‘n’ lots of love ~

foodography / fav: Hot Choc Lava Cake ! / short blog post

Hi lovelies <3

I’ve been missing posting food posts but recently I have been eating lots n lots of yummy stuff !
I found a great app to take these photo –
PHOTO STRING

I simply take normal photos with the iPhone camera app and if needed edit its colors .
Then I use this app to create these cute Polaroid-photo-like frames with extra texts :)

This Bulgogi was made all by myself ! I marinaded the beef half a day prior to eating it ~

This spaghetti with meatballs is made with fresh sausages :D Simply squeeze the meat out of the skin and mold it into small balls before throwing it into the pan ~
A new café opened near the university in Aachen and since I’ve been there to study I also stopped by this café and discovered their MATCHA ICED LATTE !

The last time I had such a great tasting Matcha Iced Latte was at Starbucks Café in Hong Kong two years ago . . . that’s why I bought some matcha powder the last time I was in Düsseldorf at a Japanese grocery store ! It was quite expensive for a small amount :x 30g for 12€ . . . I still have to test it !

It was my very first time eating a Chocolate Lava Cake but it was soooo yummy ! I know of Dominos having Hot Chocolate Lava Cakes so I guess I’ll be ordering from them next time <3

recipe : peanut curry pasta / simply and cheap student cooking 1

Tehe~
Hey lovelies !

No time to sit down and blog about recent stuff but here I am posting this awesome recipe heheheee~
I thought I would give you a recipe of how I made these overly yummy
Peanut Curry Pasta !

Most of the food I make is very easy to make and uses cheap ingredients only , because I’m a poor architecture student after all :D Thus I want to call these recipe posts my
Simple and cheap student cooking
Buhaha . Sounds so nerdy . . .
What you need is :

– two onions

– one paprika

– about 200 g chicken (I simply took one chicken leg quarter – weird english name for that >_____<” )
– curry powder ( bought it cheaply from an asian grocery shop )
– one big carrot

small package of coconut milk ( about 150 ml ? ) or whipped cream ( small package , 150ml )
– 1 or 2 spoons of peanut butter

– a little bit of salt and pepper

– 1 or 2 teaspoons of curry powder ( from asian grocery store , they have so many kinds , just pick any you get recommended :P Depending on what level of spicyness you can handle ! )
and any pasta you want with that !
The steps :
Cut the onions into slices , cut the paprika into stripes , cut the chicken into smaller bite-sized pieces , cut the carrots into slices about 1/2cm thick . . .
After cutting all of that it’s as simple as heating a pan on the stove with the highest level and add a little bit of oil .
Then add the onions . After that add the carrots and the chicken . After that add the paprika and some salt and pepper .
When the chicken seems about done add the coconut milk or whipped cream along with the peanut butter and the curry powder .
Let it stay on medium heat for about 2-3 minutes . If it gets too sticky add some more coconut milk / whipped cream .
Prepare any kind of pasta you like , I used Fussili :)

And that’s it ! Done with the meal !
Easy isn’t it ?
And I loooove it ~
Making this took me about 20 minutes or less :)
Getting all chubby-faced again tehe <3
Okeeeeee –  hope u all have a nice day and that the football worldcup is getting to you, too ~ tehe . . . ~

Somehow this month appears to be sooo full of appointments, events, birthdays, parties whatever . . . hehe . . .
I guess my family and me we don’t really celebrate easter :D But it’s the same with christmas : we still gather and have a nice feast and have a nice time together :) After all family is the most important thing to me in my life !
We had a nice brunch with too much stuff haha – I don’t usually eat breakfast and if I do , I don’t eat much . This brunch would have been enough to feed 10 people , I swear .
